Lab Assistant - Design Apple Developer Academy

For our project at the University of Naples Federico II’s Apple Developer Academy, imaginary institute is looking for highly motivated and diverse talent to join the team. Candidates are required to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible environment and collaborate within our international and trans-disciplinary team that creates and facilitates the learning experience at the University of Naples Federico II’s Apple Developer Academy and associated Apple Foundation Programs based on the Challenge Based Learning framework. The position requires general experience in mobile app development for iOS, visionOS, watchOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or MacOS, and knowledge of the Apple technology ecosystem. The candidate is expected to learn about new topics, support students in their development projects, and work alongside experienced Mentors to support them in mentoring students and facilitating the overall learning experience. Responsibilities: Providing hands-on design support for students in their development projects Supporting experienced team members in the labs on operational tasks Providing mentorship to individuals or groups of students Providing constructive feedback on student artifacts and deliverables Writing technical/design documentation for app development topics Executing daily operational tasks as required Sharing personal experience and expertise with others Working independently with clearly defined deliverables Collaborating cross-functionally with team members Gaining hands-on experience in UI/UX design for mobile apps Applying Human Interface Guidelines and best practices for mobile app design Possessing experience in visual or interaction design within the Apple ecosystem Having knowledge of UI/UX theories, design principles (typography, colors, iconography, etc.) Experience in user-centered design, creating user stories, prototypes, wireframes, etc. Basic knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit for user interface development Collaborating with programmers using distributed repositories like Git Experience with Challenge Based Learning or similar frameworks Professional or personal experience working with diverse groups Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and work as a team player Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (C1 or C2) Previous experience as a student at the Apple Developer Academy is a plus Experience in technical/design editorial writing is a plus Additional Information: This is a temporary, full-time position to be filled as soon as possible.
