Interim Management Accountant

The Opportunity An established, family-owned business in Rotherham is looking to appoint a Management Accountant in a newly-created role to support the Finance Director. With an immediate start required, this is an urgent hire offering the opportunity to step into a hands-on, commercially-focused role with the potential to become a long-term position for the right candidate. This is a full-time, site-based role and would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit in a growing SME environment where they can make a real impact from day one. The Role This is a varied and engaging role that will see you working closely with the Finance Director and wider business. Key responsibilities include: Preparation of monthly management accounts, including commentary and analysis Preparation of consolidated accounts across multiple entities Cash flow forecasting and support with budgeting Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors Producing accurate and timely reports to support operational and strategic decision-making Supporting margin and stock analysis Ad hoc financial projects and reporting as required Driving process improvements in reporting and controls Youll be part of a close-knit finance team, and your input will directly support the leadership team in decision-making and performance tracking. The Person This role will suit a proactive and adaptable individual who is ready to hit the ground running. The successful candidate will be: Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or qualified by experience Experienced in producing management accounts, ideally within an SME or multi-entity business Strong with systems and Excel Commercially minded with good communication skills Able to start immediate and commit to a site-based role Whats on Offer Salary between £50,000 - £60,000depending on experience Full-time, site-based role in Rotherham with some flexibility around hours Potential for the role to develop into a long termposition Supportive and friendly team environment with opportunities to add real value
