This role offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated finance department, contributing to the smooth operation of the team and supporting various administrative functions. Your new role As an Finance Admin Officer in the Finance Department, you will report to the designated Line Manager and be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support. Your key responsibilities will include: Undertaking general administrative and clerical duties, including handling telephone calls, preparing letters, emails, and spreadsheets. Providing a full range of typing services, including word processing, audio typing, and copy typing. Maintaining and updating manual and computerised filing systems. Handling sensitive information confidentially. Dealing with queries from internal and external sources. Assisting colleagues in their work with outside agencies. Managing the opening, distribution, and recording of correspondence. Answering telephone calls, taking messages, and relaying them to colleagues. Taking notes and minutes at meetings. Photocopying and preparing documentation for distribution. Ensuring the integrity of office security. Managing records in compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations. Promoting equality of opportunity in line with Section 75 duties of the Northern Ireland Act 1998. Performing any other relevant duties as required. What you'll need to succeed 5 GCSEs at grade A – C/9 – 4, including Maths and English (or equivalent), or an NVQ Level II in Administration. A minimum of 1 year’s experience in an administrative role within a Regulatory, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Finance, or Legal environment, or 2 years’ experience in the absence of the educational qualifications. Experience handling sensitive personal data confidentially. Accounts payable within a procurement or finance setting would be advantageous Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Strong communication skills. Proven ability to use your initiative.
