Mechanical Design Engineer Rochester Up to £43,000 per annum DOE. Monday to Friday 08:00 17:00. Were looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to high speed and innovative projects in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Whats on offer: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. About the Role: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality 2D and 3D designs using software such as SolidWorks. From concept through to installation, youll manage the full design process including technical documentation, materials sourcing, and cross-team collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Create 2D and 3D models and manufacturing drawings. Produce BOMs, cut lists, and installation documentation. Prepare machine manuals and technical file documents. Support production by managing materials and component stock. Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Project planning and tracking, issuing work to design and production teams. Identify process improvements and support sales quotations. Attend and contribute to production and design review meetings. Work closely with the electrical team and directly with customers. What we are looking for: Experienced in an engineering environment. Skilled in SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of material selection. Organised, self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and people skills. Holds a full UK driving licence (required due to rural location).
