Valentino is seeking an IP LEGAL COUNSEL for a maternity cover based in ROME . Main Duties and Responsibilities : Conduct comprehensive clearance searches for trademarks and designs to support Valentino collections (Design & Naming). Perform trademark searches using major national and international databases, ensuring timely identification of potential conflicts or risks. Carry out prior art searches and comparative analyses of existing designs and registered rights across key markets. Support internal stakeholders (including Creative, Marketing & Communication, Licensing, Customer Care & After Sales teams) on IP-related matters, providing clear and practical legal guidance. Requirements : A law degree with a strong academic background in legal studies, preferably with a specialization or demonstrated interest in Intellectual Property. At least 1 year of professional experience within a legal or in-house department, ideally focused on IP matters in the fashion, luxury, or creative industries. Good knowledge of IP portfolio management, trademark clearance processes, and brand protection strategies. Proficiency in both English and Italian (written and spoken) is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build relationships across departments. Detail-oriented and well-organized mindset.
