Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC company, is a nationally recognized geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and materials testing firm with over 35 years of excellence is seeking a Chief Geotechnical Engineer/Manager to lead our technical operations, client development, and team growth in the Salt Lake City, UT region. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute complex geotechnical engineering projects for both public and private sector clients. Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for geotechnical investigations, analyses, and reporting. Develop business relationships with clients, agencies, contractors, and partners to secure new projects and grow market share. Recruit, mentor, and manage local engineering and technical staff as the office expands. Collaborate with other regional offices to share resources, knowledge, and best practices. Represent the firm in industry organizations, conferences, and events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master's preferred. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Utah required (or ability to obtain within 6 months). 12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, including project management and staff supervision. Strong technical background in geotechnical investigations, foundation design, slope stability, earthwork, retaining structures, and construction support. Proven business development skills with an existing network in the Austin or Central Texas market preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
