A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Indirect Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to take ownership of indirect tax compliance and advisory matters across UK operations and European activities, based in Manchester and paying a salary of £65,000 . You will act as the subject matter expert on VAT, customs, and excise tax within a complex, bonded, multi-product supply chain-covering high-volume categories including alcohol, tobacco, and food. This is a strategic and hands-on role in the airline catering and logistics sector, where regulation is tight and your contribution is essential to keeping processes efficient, compliant, and commercially effective. Key Responsibilities of Indirect Tax Manager: Maintain supply chain documentation, risk registers, and audit-ready procedures Deliver timely reporting, including excise bond losses and customs figures Support and maintain HMRC warehouse approvals Ensure compliance with stock movement and release processes As an Indirect Tax Manager you will have: Experience in indirect tax, ideally within bonded warehouse or food manufacturing settings Knowledge of tax exposure related to alcohol and tobacco Strong understanding of customs, VAT, and excise duties Why Apply?
