Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for an Infotainment Engineer to be based at our customer’s site in Toulouse . Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions. The Role: Our client creates automotive power advanced on-board systems that meet consumer demand for automotive connectivity. As the 1 semiconductor company in telematics, they bring more than 30 years of wireless technology to the automotive space and can use that expertise to deliver industry firsts like LTE in vehicles. The automobile industry has relied on their smart technologies for more than a decade, and today their chips are found in smart cars from all major global automakers. Smart cars manufactured with their integrated Snapdragon automotive processors offer an immersive infotainment experience. With support for 3D navigation, media streaming and parking assistance, as well as voice, facial and device recognition, their customers are redefining the connected smart auto landscape. This position is for our clients Automotive Application Engineering Group, which closely collaborate with its automotive partners and customers from concept to commercialization. The team involves with all aspects of Embedded software such as SW & HW designs, Feature Prototyping, Feature Integration, SW customization, Performance Optimization & Improvement and other debugging efforts which is key for a successful launch of the product. This Position is in search for a strong Software Engineer with good knowledge and hands-on experience in Design/Development/Debugging aspects of Board support package (BSP) on one or more of operating systems like Linux, Android, Greenhills Integrity and QNX embedded systems. A successful candidate will get a chance to work on cutting edge infotainment/digital cockpit technologies from leading Auto manufacturers and Tier1s and see their commercialization. Area of Responsibility Major responsibility is to provide direct support to our clients customers and partners with the design, development and debug of our clients reference designs S/W related issues and helping to customize/optimize software to meet the product requirements using the features in our clients SOC. Candidate must quickly assimilate onto an existing project, understand Automotive platform Hardware and Software driver architecture, read/write technical specifications/requirements, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and work closely with external customers to customize and launch their new products. Knowledge / Experience Good Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. Good development or debugging experience with High level operating systems (Linux and Android) Very solid experience with embedded software development, Device driver development, debugging. Experience with C/C++ programming and modern scripting languages. Generic understanding the boot process and system architecture of ARM Cortex-A/X based SoC systems, including topics like MMU/SMMU, virtualisation and ARM TrustZone Excellent issue triage and debugging skills with complex system level issues. An intrinsic desire for systematic working and ability to deliver high quality results in a stressful environment. Good communication and excellent teamwork skills. Ability get recognised in a small cross-functional team and mentoring junior team members in technical topics. Experience with serial peripherals like UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe on hardware and software aspects Experience with interfaces like USB, Ethernet, CSI, DSI or HDMI. Experience and debugging linux kernel crashes , Android framework crashes Experience with Android upgrades, Android HAL Experience with Linux kernel.
