Seniority & profile : From 7 to 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering Proficiency with Onshape, Solidworks or similar. With more than 5 years of experience in robotics or similar field : small and precise systems, with actuation (various bearing technologies & assembly techniques) and embedded electronics, in hazardous environments (IP67, rust, ATEX, RAD, etc). High knowledge of machining technologies and how to make your design transferable to the real world. Knowledge of FEA analysis to optimize structural performance of a mechanical system. Experience in industrialization of such system ( DfM , DtC ). Master/Engineering degree or PhD And a good ability in abstract thinking and innovative ideas. The systems we are designing are complex with a lot of functionality packed into a very compact while still resilient system. What you would work on : The core of Aru : its main bodies, arms and wheels. Their external design as well as their under-the-hood secrets making it so full of functionalities. Its modules and tools, each suited for different applications from inspections to maintenance tasks. This means a lot of system design to prepare a coherent solution, created in coordination with the whole platform team (electronic and firmware engineers). Followed by a fast iteration towards the final solution.
