Business Analyst

Business Analyst (Contract – Inside IR35) Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week in Leeds Contract Length: 3 to 6 months initially Day Rate: Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35) Sector: UK Government / Public Sector Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join a key project within the UK Government sector. This is a hybrid contract role, requiring 2-3 days on-site in Leeds per week. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping business requirements, leading workshops, and supporting Agile delivery teams to ensure the success of digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements in alignment with project objectives. Facilitate and lead workshops with diverse stakeholders, including technical, business, and government representatives. Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and support sprint planning. Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear understanding and agreement of business needs. Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency. Support change management and communication plans throughout the delivery lifecycle. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in UK Government / Public Sector projects. Strong knowledge and practical experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Demonstrable expertise in planning, facilitating, and leading workshops with mixed stakeholder groups. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills. Ability to work autonomously and proactively in a hybrid working environment. All candidates must be based in the UK.
