Job Description

Python Developer A leading global financial services firm is seeking a hands-on developer to join its Developer Tools and Systems group. This team plays a key role in shaping the software development lifecycle for over 20,000 engineers across the organization by delivering cutting-edge tooling and development environments for both private and public cloud. Paying up to £550 per day you will be based out of their Glasgow offices working in a hybrid working team. Key Responsibilities: Build and modernize internal development tools and platforms Drive the adoption of cloud-based development environments Collaborate with global teams to support large-scale agile projects Required Skills: Strong programming skills in Python ; experience with Java, C#, or Typescript a plus Deep interest in developer productivity, SDLC tooling, and CI/CD processes Familiarity with source control, code review, build systems, testing frameworks, and IDEs Experience in large-scale agile environments Desirable: Knowledge of Kubernetes , containers , and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) System admin experience (Linux/Windows) Familiarity with tools like IntelliJ, VS Code, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible Why Join?
