Job Description

Core Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with UK and international logistics regulations (e.g., EU, US). Manage compliance risks and improve operational transparency. Drive best practices in compliance for logistics and supply chain operations. Key Duties: Monitor and interpret UK logistics regulations (e.g., Customs Act 1988, Carriage of Goods Act 1991). Develop and implement compliance policies tailored to logistics operations. Ensure adherence to compliance standards across logistics processes. Address non-compliance issues and provide corrective actions. Identify and mitigate risks such as smuggling, customs fraud, or counterfeit goods. Coordinate responses to customs audits, HMRC investigations, or data breaches. Develop contingency plans and submit reports for compliance crises. Work with operational teams to ensure compliance in daily activities. Deliver training programs to enhance compliance awareness within the logistics team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law, Logistics Management, or a related field. Preferred certifications: CIPS or IEMA. Experience in logistics or supply chain compliance. Knowledge of UK port operations and cross-border e-commerce logistics. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English for effective communication.
