Job Title: Brake Tester Engineer Location: Essex Salary: £28-38,000 overtime Mon-Fri, paid door to door Due to very high work volume, there is as much optional overtime as possible in this role, and there is the very realistic possibility of earning @50,000 a year. About the Role Join one of the UK’s largest Garage Equipment Providers as a home-based Field Engineer . You’ll be working on a variety of garage equipment and be equipped with a fully racked van to provide a seamless service. Your Main Responsibilities: Calibrate brake testers to ensure accurate readings Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure long-term performance Respond to customer callouts for equipment faults or failures Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical issues and perform on-site repairs Minimize equipment downtime Ensure all brake testing equipment complies with DVSA requirements for MOT use Skills & Qualifications: Mechanical or electromechanical engineering background Experience with vehicle test lane equipment, especially brake testers Knowledge of DVSA regulations and MOT testing standards Diagnostic skills in mechanical, electrical, or software faults Clean UK driving license (for travel to customer sites) What’s in It for You?
