Laboratory Analyst

Job Title: Laboratory Analyst Location: Gosmore, near Hitchin/Stevenage Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) Contract Type: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover) Are you an analytical chemist with hands-on industry experience in HPLC or GC? We’re working with a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer who are looking to hire a Laboratory Analyst on a 2-year fixed-term contract to support ongoing operations during maternity cover. There is potential for this role to be extended or made permanent based on business needs. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and non-routine analysis using HPLC and GC techniques Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with GMP and internal quality standards Accurately document results and maintain detailed records Support investigation of out-of-specification results and lab deviations Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA and production Requirements: BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline Hands-on HPLC or GC experience in an industrial setting (e.g., placement, internship, or previous employment) Working knowledge of GMP Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to commute to site (driving or cycling recommended due to location) This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or looking to expand their experience in a supportive and professional lab environment.
