We are seeking a passionate and organised Assistant Events Operations Manager to help lead and inspire our Events & In-Room Dining team at one of the UK's most iconic countryside retreats. Competitive salary: £36,000 approx. £4,000 service charge annually Opportunity to work across 250 acres of landscaped grounds and luxury event spaces A respected and values-led hospitality brand that puts people first Excellent development and progression pathways Work within a collaborative and supportive team at a world-renowned estate Position Overview As Assistant Events Operations Manager, you'll play a key leadership role supporting the Events & In-Room Dining Manager. From beautifully orchestrated weddings to seamless corporate retreats and elegant private dinners, you'll be behind the scenes and front-of-house, ensuring exceptional execution across our entire estate. You'll help train and lead a dedicated team, oversee logistics, deliver five-star service, and work collaboratively across departments to make every event unforgettable. Key Responsibilitie Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of Events and In-Room Dining Coach and support the FOH team in delivering personalised, luxury service Lead pre-shift meetings, allocate tasks, and ensure exceptional event setups Monitor guest satisfaction and actively seek feedback to drive improvements Ensure function spaces and meeting rooms are always presentation-ready Liaise with other departments (Culinary, Sales, Rooms Division) to ensure event success Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational organisation Manage departmental admin, stock control, scheduling and payroll support Oversee accurate billing, guest records, and event documentation Contribute to team performance reviews, training, and goal-setting Work flexibly across Events and In-Room Dining operations based on business needs Represent the Events leadership team in meetings when required Who You Are You've previously worked in events operations or luxury F&B service in Hotels or High end venues A confident leader who leads from the front with a hands-on approach Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and a natural problem-solver Excellent communication skills with a guest-first mindset Able to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively Passionate about creating memorable moments for guests in beautiful settings Comfortable using event and POS software and managing basic admin & reporting Someone who thrives in a collaborative, values-driven environment If you're looking to take the next step in your hospitality career and help deliver exceptional experiences across an iconic country estate, we'd love to hear from you.
