Senior Interior Designer & FF&E

JOB DESCRIPTION: A single designer that is responsible for the execution of a project from design development through to sign off. The project designer will: draw the full set of working drawings in AutoCAD, and create all the necessary schedules. Source & select finishes, sanitaryware, ironmongery, etc. as well as decorative items regular communication/meetings with the Project Manager, QS, builder, suppliers and various subcontractors attend all site meetings, site inspections, joinery/furniture factory meetings, etc constantly monitor the project BOQ manage joinery/furniture production be the contact between the compan and the client REQUIREMENTS: - Min 5 years experience - Must reside in Cape Town, South Africa - Bachelor's degree or other tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline - Proficiency in AutoCAD & SketchUp is a must - Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and numerically oriented (great with Microsoft Excel) - Must have reliable car to go to site meetings etc - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to travel locally and internationally for projects - Demonstrate commitment to excellence in design & design execution - Demonstrate advanced understanding of the decorating process - Ability to work independently as well as in a team oriented, collaborative environment - Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development We focus on full turn-key projects, from architectural and interior design to furnishing and decor.
