Production Technician

Key Responsibilities Prepare production consumables (e.g., Teflon). Ensure machines are ready for production (perform Teflon changes, seal wire inspections, and sealing head setups). Set up machines (plugging in power, pneumatic connections, and testing operations). Organize machine layout (moving tables and machines as needed). Assist with machine maintenance (tightening bolts, replacing simple parts). Follow safe operating practices while working on machinery. Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the work area. Utilize problem-solving techniques to diagnose and rectify equipment issues, seeking support when necessary. Ideal Candidate Skills & Attributes: Physical strength to move tables and machines. Strong technical aptitude with basic mechanical experience. Strong numeracy skills and familiarity with measuring tools. Good attention to detail and learning potential. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Self-motivated and a team player. Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as needed. Additional Information Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Ottery, Western Cape before starting work.
