Qualified Accountant

About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Qualified Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and company policies Manage general ledger functions and oversee month-end/year-end close processes Reconcile accounts, manage cash flow, and forecast budgeting requirements Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors and consultants Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Oversee payroll, VAT submissions, and statutory returns Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional qualification (e.g. CA, SAIPA, SAICA, ACCA) is mandatory Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
