Director of Safety & Security Location: Cape Town Industry: Luxury Hospitality A prestigious 5-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Director of Safety & Security to oversee and manage all aspects of health, safety, and security across the property. This role requires a proactive and strategic leader with a strong background in risk management and hospitality operations. Key Responsibilities: Direct investigations related to theft, property damage, personal injury, and food safety Manage external service providers and ensure compliance with all HSSR-related contracts and SLAs Oversee pest control and recommend operational improvements Review hotel surveillance systems and identify upgrade opportunities Implement and maintain the Safety Management System, with regular reporting Manage Crisis and Business Continuity Plans, including training and readiness Lead the hotel’s Safety, Security & Resilience Committee Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar safety/security leadership role Background in the hospitality industry is an advantage Relevant diploma or degree in safety, security, or management Strong knowledge of safety regulations, security procedures, and incident investigations Familiarity with modern surveillance systems and fire safety protocols Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills To Apply Please submit a copy of your updated CV and a recent profile photo.
