General Manager

Requirements: 3 5 years experience as a General Manger, Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager Matric or equivalent qualification Experience with imports, exports and cross border procurement Duties: Strategic Leadership and Business Development Formulate and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with overall business objectives Conduct market analysis to identify and capitalize on global export opportunities Define production goals and ensure consistent achievement through effective oversight Inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward operational excellence International Sales and Market Expansion Lead and manage international sales initiatives across key global markets Develop and nurture strong relationships with distributors, agents and clients Design and implement targeted marketing strategies to promote products abroad Manufacturing Operations Management Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, from raw material procurement to final product dispatch Manage production planning, scheduling and optimal resource allocation Enforce quality control and safety compliance across all operations Supervise maintenance activities and warehouse/logistics functions Ensure full adherence to international trade laws and export regulations Resource and Team Management Optimize the use of budgets, materials and equipment to support production efficiency Guarantee the availability of critical supplies and resources Lead recruitment, training and performance management for all team members Continuous Improvement and Operational Efficiency Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity and reduce costs Identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions for process optimization Financial Oversight and Profitability Manage budgets effectively and ensure sustainable profitability Analyze financial data to pinpoint areas for cost reduction and revenue growth Negotiate favorable contracts with domestic and international stakeholders Compliance and Risk Mitigation Ensure full compliance with local and international trade laws and regulations Identify, assess and mitigate potential business and operational risks Remain updated on global trade policy changes and adapt strategies accordingly Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when needed Stay informed on evolving industry trends and global best practices Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication Foster strong collaboration with internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain Communicate proactively with customers, suppliers and stakeholders to align goals and expectations
