Electrical Engineer - Substations, Systems & Distribution

🔧 Key Responsibilities Design, plan, and oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical substations and distribution systems Perform system analysis, fault level studies, and load flow calculations Prepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and project documentation Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities for electrical infrastructure projects Ensure adherence to safety and quality assurance protocols throughout the project lifecycle ✠Requirements Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 35 years experience in substation and electrical distribution projects Proficient in power system design , electrical drawings , and relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, DigSilent, ETAP) Solid understanding of SANS , NRS , and other applicable engineering codes and practices Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites 🌟 Ideal Candidate Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Proven ability to work independently and within a project team Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA (advantageous)
