Senior Java Developer

Remote temporarly / Hybrid at Minerva Office, Guadalajara, Jalisco Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in software development. Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, Kafka, Control-M, and Unix/Linux. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformation workflows. Familiarity with Snowflake cloud data platform. Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools. Key Responsibilities Designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust and scalable Java-based applications. Writing efficient and optimized SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting. Integrating and managing real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka. Implementing and scheduling batch jobs using Control-M. Developing and maintaining shell scripts and performing Unix system-level operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and operations. Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers. Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scalability. Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in a timely manner.
