As of now we are looking for a: Senior Organic Chemist (f/m/d) Responsibilities: * Planning and conducting laboratory experiments, including analytics and documentation * Planning and conducting purification and modification of lipids derived from microbial biomass for various applications * Planning and conducting technical and scientific leadership activities to optimize production processes * Planning and conducting the contract synthesis of custom-designed lipids to meet specific client and project requirements * Developing new products and driving innovation aimed at generating intellectual property, while staying updated with current literature * Planning and conducting oversight of daily laboratory work, including drafting SOPs, optimizing existing protocols and providing guidance to co-workers Requirements: * PhD preferred; alternatively, a completed Master's degree * Approximately 3 years of professional experience in synthetic chemistry experience in both academia and industry is welcome * Solid knowledge of organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, purification methods, and analytical techniques * Experience with lipids is a big plus (lipid chemistry, purification, synthesis) * Experience in scale-up processes is an advantage * Excellent English skills (C1 level) * German skills are an advantage but not required * Independent and solution-oriented working style * Hands-on mentality The offer: * A gross annual salary starting from EUR50,000 (based on full-time employment, according to the chemical industry collective agreement) with an all-in contract * Additional leave days ("bridge days") to compensate for the all-in agreement * Flexible working hours; occasional home office possible * A modern workspace featuring height-adjustable desks and walking boards; each workstation is equipped with dual monitors and a company laptop * Research-driven development in a future-oriented area * Regular team events and after-work activities; every second week, a "Pasta Day" is held, where meals are prepared together * An international team where lunch breaks are spent together * Free coffee for an extra energy boost * Low hierarchies with fast decision processes and the possibility to shape the company's future development * Possibility for further career development in the company I look forward to receiving your application and am available to answer any questions you may have about this position!
