For more on HCL, please visit Job Title: Junior ETL Developer (Oracle 19c / PostgreSQL / Shell Scripting) Work Location: Paris, France Type: Permanent Position Experience: Required: 0-3 Years Language: French Native or similar Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated Junior ETL Developer with foundational knowledge of Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL, and shell scripting (ksh). You will assist in developing and maintaining ETL processes and supporting data workflows in collaboration with senior team members. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in developing and maintaining ETL jobs using SQL and shell scripting. • Write queries and procedures to extract, transform, and load data into databases. • Work with Oracle 19c and PostgreSQL to support data integration tasks. • Monitor and troubleshoot basic ETL processes and data quality issues. • Learn and follow best practices for data integrity and performance optimization. • Collaborate with team members and participate in code reviews and documentation. Required Skills: • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL). • Familiarity with shell scripting (preferably ksh). • Willingness to learn and work on ETL processes and data pipelines. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Nice to Have: • Internship or academic project experience in database development or ETL. • Exposure to job scheduling tools (e.g., Cron, Control-M). • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
