Job Description
Minimum requirements for the role: Must be a Qualified Accountant (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge Experience in financial consolidations is essential Proven track record in managing finance teams and delivering results Acquisition and integration experience is advantageous Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines Adaptive and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment Effective communicator, especially with senior leadership Influential with the ability to drive change and accountability Skilled at coaching and developing team members Must have project management experience from planning to execution Demonstrated success in implementing change and leading initiatives Proficient in Excel and accounting systems Challenges the status quo and seeks continuous improvement High attention to detail and accuracy Strong team player with a collaborative mindset Flexible, adaptable and composed under pressure The successful candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing and managing the internal finance department, including identifying team training needs. Preparing and consolidating monthly management accounts for over 10 group entities with revenue exceeding £30 million. Producing monthly reporting packs and supporting senior leadership with insights and recommendations. Preparing annual group budgets and leading financial forecasting. Managing group cash flow and funding requirements. Overseeing the annual audit process. Leading the financial integration of acquisitions, including hive-ups and related projects. Identifying and monitoring key metrics aligned to business objectives. Setting and communicating financial targets and holding teams accountable to these goals. Promoting best practices through training and effective communication across the business. Creating and managing reporting tools that support fact-based decision-making. Driving business improvement initiatives by managing internal finance projects. Piloting internal testing of new products and services to assess client readiness. Continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance function. Maintaining confidentiality of all financial and sensitive information. Upholding the businesss core values and competency framework. Maintaining up-to-date professional development (CPD).
