Junior Production Technician (Aerospace Industry)

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: - B-Tech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Required Skills and Experience: - Familiarity with Electronic components, PCBs, and Soldering. - Relevant industry experience will be advantageous. Recommended Skills and Experience: - Electronic production; - Electromechanical integration; - Electronic testing; - Integration testing; - Product qualification and stress testing; and - Production procurement. General Skills: - Ability to learn fast and absorb new information quickly; - Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate on large projects; - Ability to work independently; - Strong problem-solving skills; and - High standard of communication skills in English (both verbal and written). Roles & Responsibilities: The Employee will work as a Junior Production Technician, scope of work will include (but is not limited to) the following: - Assembly, testing, design, development, implementation and verification of systems, subsystems, testers and associated software, hardware and algorithms associated with the Employers products and services; - Contributing towards the outputs for specific projects, including all design, documentation and verification artefacts; - Taking responsibility for the proper implementation and proper functionality of the Employers prototyping and assembly facilities, including tooling, spares, stock and infrastructure. Maintain company processes and systems in line with ISO 9001, AS 9100 and other quality, production and development standards; - Managing stores and stock in alignment with AS9100 standards, ensuring all materials and components are organized, safely stored, and properly accounted for; - Conducting incoming inspections of components to verify quality, quantity, authenticity and ensuring each part is precisely documented within the ERP system; - Collaborating with the Quality Manager to perform formal quality inspections on electronic and mechanical components, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and product specifications; - Play a role in the generation of outputs for projects, including design, testing, documentation, production and verification artefacts; - Implementation of they company's system engineering processes, plans and policies as applicable to a specific project; and - Perform minor support roles within the company, as required.
