We’re seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team and support our efforts in maintaining excellence in food product development and quality control. Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in supporting the analysis and development of food products, ensuring all procedures follow strict GLP standards. This position is ideal for a recent graduate in Chemistry (or a related field) looking to build a strong foundation in the food science and manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse food samples using standard laboratory techniques (e.g., titrations, spectrophotometry, pH measurements, moisture/protein/fat analysis). Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory activities in compliance with GLP. Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Support ongoing R&D projects with timely and precise analytical data. Adhere to all company safety protocols and food safety regulations. Participate in internal audits and quality assurance activities. Requirements: Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. Demonstrated laboratory experience (academic or industrial), ideally involving food or chemical analysis. Strong working knowledge of sample preparation and analytical techniques. Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and data recording accuracy. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
