Laboratory Analyst

SRG are excited to be partnered with a global organisation who are at the forefront of health and environmental research to help them find an experienced Analyst to join their busy lab team. We are looking for someone with strong hands on industrial laboratory skills and experience in any of the following; HPLC, GC, GC-MC and/or ICP, and is ready for a new challenge with excellent development opportunities. The Role: Overseeing analysis using Chromatography and ICP Preparing and analysing samples for our clients using a variety of instruments including: HPLC/UV/ECD, GC, GC-MS, IC and ICP etc Reporting analytical results and cross checks as required and in line with lab operating procedures Checking and authorising reports written by Laboratory Analysts Completing routine laboratory support functions as part of the wider team including general housekeeping, apparatus cleaning and maintenance Troubleshooting and problem solving where required Following the company quality system requirements including compliance with ISO 17025 (UKAS Accredited) Requirements: Relevant scientific degree or equivalent hands on experience in a similar field Experience of running HPLC, GC, GC-MS or ICP instrumentation within a commercial lab Excellent organisational and communication skills Experience of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Experience of a range of ICT including Microsoft Office and databases Punctual, reliable and aims for high standards in their work Works well as part of a small team Supervisory experience or delegating workloads would be beneficial but not essential Company benefits: Flexible working 35 days annual leave including public holidays Group personal pension Income Protection Death in Service Access to flexible benefits & rewards platform Employee Assistance Programme including wellbeing hub and access to a 24hr helpline and counselling service On-site parking
