Job Description

Our client, a respected engineering consultancy, is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to bolster their dynamic team. This opportunity allows you to engage in diverse municipal infrastructure, land development, and utility projects while contributing to technical excellence and mentoring junior professionals. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic engineer ready to lead project delivery, foster collaboration across disciplines, and help develop the next generation of engineers. You'll play a pivotal role in community-focused projects, expanding your skills in design, field services, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the Engineer of Record on municipal infrastructure and land development projects. Offer technical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams. Work closely with clients to define project scope, design criteria, and timelines. Perform field reviews, site assessments, and investigations as needed. Develop detailed civil designs, technical reports, cost estimates, and construction documentation. Contribute to proposals and help secure new project opportunities. Mentor and guide junior engineers-in-training, supporting their professional growth. Lead or contribute to technical design reviews and provide professional sign-off. Conduct hydraulic and stormwater analyses using industry-standard software (e.g., Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, HY-8). Qualifications: Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with EGBC and/or APEGA. Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal infrastructure or transportation projects. Proven expertise in municipal servicing and stormwater management; experience with hydraulic modeling is advantageous. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative mindset. Comfortable engaging with clients and presenting in technical or public forums. Why Apply? The estimated pay range for this position is CAD $95,000 to CAD $105,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
