Plant Performance Engineer - Mbombela

Requirements BTech or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Project Management qualification or certification. GCC Factories (advantageous). Minimum of 6 years experience in a plant performance engineering role within a power plant or utilities environment. Key Attributes and Competencies Solid understanding of DCS, CMMS, and power plant operations. Strong grasp of SHERQ management systems and regulatory frameworks. Analytical skills with high numeric reasoning ability and attention to detail. Organised and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Skilled in risk assessments, auditing, and project management principles. Effective communicator with strong leadership, facilitation, and report-writing capabilities. Team player with coaching, mentoring, and motivational skills. Professional, self-motivated, and safety-oriented. Able to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations with a proactive mindset.
