Job Description
Vice President, Cost Control & Management COE Job Summary The Senior Manager, Cost Control & Management Centre of Excellence (COE) is part of Group Enablement Services (GES) at Standard Chartered GBS. The role will enable the bank's investment initiatives (such as Fit For Growth) to drive execution rigor across all portfolios and overall manage the programme. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Management Responsibilities Collaborate with Investment Portfolio leads in driving execution rigor, considering the bank's and programmes' goals and financial objectives. Constructively challenge leads on assumptions, priorities, and goals; ask questions that lead to deeper understanding. Bring inside-out and outside-in perspectives and propose development of coherent plans of action (jointly with stakeholders). Overall Delivery Responsibilities Manage delivery support (programme tracking, training, governance) and build project plans with an execution focus. Review analysis of internal metrics and objectives to develop a future-fit strategy. Own troubleshooting of current issues and implement solutions after thorough industry best practices analysis. Establish proper objectives and goals, leveraging industry reports. Apply strategic thinking and logically structure and process data into meaningful and actionable recommendations. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct. Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters collaboratively. Key Stakeholders Internal stakeholders Other Responsibilities Experience in managing large creative/design initiatives. Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills. Stakeholder management and project management skills. Skills and Experience Experience managing large-scale initiatives/programmes across organizations. Banking or Global Business Services domain knowledge is advantageous. Strategic thinker, entrepreneurial, creative and analytical problem solver. Ability to drive independent workstreams within broader projects. Flexible, innovative, and able to build trust and empathy within the firm. Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills. Collaborative team player and inclusive leader. Proven influencing and perseverance skills. Strong problem-solving skills and proactive opportunity identification. Experience working in cross-functional, remote global teams. Ability to develop clear, impactful presentations for ExCo.
