ABB is seeking an SAP Functional Analyst with a strong background in Controlling processes to support projects and implementations in the countries part of the “Italian cluster”. Reporting Line This position reports to Global IS Department Mgr, ERP GCC . Responsibilities Collect and analyze ABB requirements from local AFC functions (mainly Italy / France but also Croatia-Serbia / Greece / Turkey / Spain) and from the Group. Requires good knowledge of period-end procedures and Record to Report processes, including Group Consolidation (e.g., USGAAP / IFRS accounting principles). Understand AFC processes. Provide expert advice. Design and assist in the development of business process descriptions. Work directly with the AFC team to provide the best solution, managing deliverables and activities. Build strong relationships within the AFC team. Ensure that timelines are met. Translate project requirements and changes into specifications for internal and external delivery parties. Create and maintain the Business Blueprint (BBP) with detailed process descriptions and requirements. Guide and monitor task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice, normally without line responsibility. Coordinate with other SAP module consultants for integration requirements. Support the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS solutions/services. Create and execute plans for SAP requirements, revising as needed to meet changing requirements. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), contributing technical and business process/data expertise to support operations or develop new software. Support the Application Run Organization in incident and problem resolution when functional verification is required. Serve as a reference for Internal Control / SOX in the Controlling area. Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in computer science, Economics, or a similar discipline, with about 3 years of experience as an SAP CO Functional Analyst, including at least 2 full SAP project implementations. Technical skills: SAP CO modules including Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Revenue Recognition (Result analysis methods), with strong integration with Accounting (NewGL Functional Area - CoS), Sales, and Logistics modules. Project System knowledge focusing on Controlling and integration with Production. Report painter/writer knowledge, query design, and basic ABAP skills oriented to debugging. Preferred experiences: S/4HANA implementation, BW/BI, and Material Ledger experience. Background in similar ABB manufacturing industries is a plus. Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken. Availability to travel occasionally to ABB locations. Ability to think independently, challenge traditional solutions, and possess an analytical and problem-solving attitude. Capable of working under pressure and prioritizing workload.
