Position Title: Software Engineer II Job Description: Roles & responsibilities: Designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise Analyzes user requirement/needs and makes decisions considering the nature of project. Participates in software design for features and bug fixes independently. Leads projects and programs within own organization with moderate complexity, scope, with guidance from manager Provides technical expertise on the team; analyzes and evaluates code issues and makes decisions within general parameters under broad supervision Focus on quality in all aspects of work; follows established standards of excellence Contributes to team activities and collaborates within the team and dependent project areas to solve problems. Has good understanding of quality standards and work requires minimal revision Experience Required: Proficient in at least one higher-level programming language and familiarity with application development support software packages (OOAD, Java EE, Web Services Technologies, SOAP and/or REST). Practical knowledge of application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, and/or JBoss. Practical knowledge of database technologies (Oracle, DB2, UDB, and/or SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. Practical knowledge of UI/Web 2.0 Development (JavaScript, CSS, SCSS, HTML5, AJAX, jQuery, Any of the frameworks, NodeJS) and working with Git and/or relevant source code repositories. . Practical knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems. Practical knowledge of automated unit testing with tools like JUnit/TestNG. Practical knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile). Ability to troubleshoot and debug programs. Competencies: Compassionate and kind, showing courtesy, dignity, and respect. Kafka)
