The Principal Solution Architect will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the implementation of complex multi-channel customer experience solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create cohesive and scalable architectures that align with business objectives and user needs. The architect will also identify opportunities for architectural optimization and efficiency in a fast-paced, global fashion retail environment. As the Principal Solution Architect , you will: Design and oversee the implementation of complex multi-channel customer experience solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to create cohesive and scalable architectures. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for architectural optimization and efficiency. Utilize data-driven insights to inform architectural decisions and demonstrate the impact of solution design. Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and innovation. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Must-Have Experience: Strong understanding of architectural patterns and principles in a retail environment Designing solutions for retail commerce environment Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to create detailed technical documentation and architecture diagrams Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams Soft Skills: Communication : Clearly articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Leadership : Guiding and mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Adaptability : Being flexible and open to new ideas, technologies, and methodologies. Strategic Thinking : Aligning technical solutions with business goals and objectives. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist) are a plus. Nice to Have: Experience in the retail industry, particularly within a global context. Hands-on experience in marketing technology roles. Experience in both front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, Java, Python, Node.js, SQL, NoSQL) Experience with SAP Hybris or Commerce cloud is preferred. Proven track record of collaborating cross-functional technology teams in front-end development or customer experience projects. Experience in analysing and mapping customer journeys, and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
