Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Substance Use Counselor Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 52 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days, nights, flexible Employment Type: Local Contract Full Time: Substance Abuse Counselor Location: Baltimore, MD About the Organization: We provide a comprehensive continuum of care for individuals dealing with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our services support both young adults and adults through assessment, residential/inpatient treatment, detoxification, day treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient substance abuse programs, dual diagnosis care, mental health services, special education, and prevention services. All programs are accredited by The Joint Commission (JCAHO), ensuring the highest standards of care. Position Overview: We are currently hiring a Full-Time Bilingual Addiction Counselor to join our team in Baltimore. This role is key in providing individualized support and ensuring continuity of care for young adult and adult clients struggling with substance use. Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible hours) Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and coordinate referrals Ensure consistent and effective continuity of care Maintain timely and accurate documentation Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes Minimum Requirements: Must have at least Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) status or one of the following Maryland credentials: Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LGADC) Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD) Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD) Associate degree or equivalent technical program (minimum 2 years) 2–4 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Background in behavioral health or human services Experience working in mental health or substance use treatment settings Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred Benefits: Competitive compensation Supportive, mission-driven team environment Opportunities for professional growth About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
