Home Health Field Nurse (RN) Full-Time Assignment | Homewood, AL

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week full-time home health contract assignment in Homewood, AL . This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend and on-call rotations (typically one weekend per month). The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, confidence in OASIS documentation, and proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) . Job Duties: Provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric patients in their homes Conduct thorough assessments using Oasis documentation Develop and implement individualized care plans Administer medications, wound care, and other prescribed treatments Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient needs are met Educate patients and their families on disease processes and self-care techniques Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Homecare Homebase Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and protocols Requirements: Active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification At least 1 year of home health experience with geriatric patients Proficiency in Oasis and Homecare Homebase Reliable transportation Completion of Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits 401k after 90 days .48c mileage reimbursement visit to visit, 150-250 miles per week expected Negotiable pay based on experience and territory budget Blended pay packages available for travelers Location Details: Located just minutes from downtown Birmingham, Homewood, AL, is a charming suburb known for its walkable neighborhoods, vibrant local shops, and excellent schools.
