Car Mechanic Employment type: Permanent Location: Near Uddington (Lanark, Scotland) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm. Salary: £35,000-£42,000 per annum basic salary DOE Works Van Overtime (Saturday mornings available @ 1.5 X rate) Are you a passionate and skilled Car Mechanic looking to join a family-owned garage where you can make a real impact? Our client is currently seeking an experienced Car Mechanic to become a key player in their highly reputable garage. Example of Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues. Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire changes, and brake inspections. Repair and replace worn or broken parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors. Ensure vehicles are safe and in excellent operating condition. Keep detailed records of all work performed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle condition and necessary repairs. Conduct MOT's (Full training and certification will be provided if this isn't something you have done previously) Experience/ Skills Required Excellent communication skills Previous experience as a Car Mechanic is essential Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles. Excellent problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license. Related qualifications or certificates would be preferred.
