History Teacher Location: Reading, Berkshire Salary: £34,067 - £51,985 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: September 2025 An innovative educational institution in Reading is seeking a History Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis starting in September 2025. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about shaping the minds of students through a modern and dynamic approach to teaching history. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and informative history lessons to students in KS3-KS5, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum. Utilize modern teaching methods and technologies, including video conferencing and online resources, to enhance student learning experiences. Proactively manage classroom environments, fostering a culture of curiosity and self-directed learning among students. Collaborate with fellow educators to develop innovative lesson plans and learning strategies. Regularly assess student progress through both formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the vibrant community atmosphere. Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of educational trends and best practices in history education. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in history or a related field. Proven experience teaching history at secondary school level (KS3-KS5). Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching tools. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for History. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and motivating students. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
