Mechanical Supervisor

Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Location: Liverpool Salary: £45,000 Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to oversee renewable mechanical installations across multiple sites. This role involves hands-on leadership of installation teams, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance in all mechanical work, including air source heat pumps and heating systems. Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise on-site mechanical teams across multiple projects. Conduct desktop and physical installation surveys for compliance and quality. Interpret mechanical drawings and ensure work aligns with technical specs. Perform quality control, system testing, and commissioning. Liaise between site teams, subcontractors, and project managers. Maintain health & safety standards, risk assessments, and daily site records. Plan resources and contribute to project scheduling and timelines. Skills & Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or Heating & Ventilation. Proven experience supervising mechanical/renewable energy installations. Valid CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS (or willingness to obtain). Excellent knowledge of mechanical safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics. Strong organisational and leadership skills. Full UK driving licence. Desirable: MCS installation experience. BPEC/NICEIC certification in solar or heat pump systems. First Aid at Work certification. Experience with PAS 2035 or ECO4 energy efficiency schemes. Location: Liverpool Salary: £45,000
