12-Month FTC Location: London - 3 days in the office per week, 2 from home Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Sector: Legal / Professional Services Team: IT Infrastructure Reporting to: IT Infrastructure Manager Salary- £60-65k We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a global law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a key technical role focused on supporting and evolving their global IT infrastructure across networking, cloud, and on-prem systems. You’ll also contribute to projects, emergency response, and ongoing infrastructure improvements. What You’ll Be Doing Managing and supporting networking and infrastructure systems including servers, storage, firewalls, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, and unified comms. Administering tools and platforms like Windows Server, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, VMWare, NetApp, and more. Monitoring system health, applying patches, and managing vulnerabilities using tools like Rapid7 and SolarWinds. Troubleshooting incidents, owning resolution through to completion, and following ITIL-aligned processes. Collaborating with our IT Security and Service Delivery teams to ensure robust, user-friendly infrastructure solutions. Supporting project rollouts and upgrades — from planning through implementation. You’ll bring: Strong hands-on knowledge across cloud (Azure, M365) and on-prem (VMWare, NetApp, Windows Server) environments. Experience managing networking technologies — ideally including Juniper, Cato, VLANs, VPNs, etc. Familiarity with tools like PowerShell, SolarWinds, and enterprise backup solutions (Rubrik/Commvault). A team-player attitude, willingness to support others, and a flexible mindset to cover occasional out-of-hours work. Ideally, exposure to ITIL and ISO 27001 environments.
