Legal Cashier - Taunton Salary: £28k - £32k DOE Benefits Location: Taunton, Somerset Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentTSR Legal are proud to be working with a well-established and expanding law firm with multiple offices across the South West, who are now seeking a Legal Cashier to join their growing finance team based in Taunton. About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join a traditional yet forward-thinking legal practice during an exciting period of growth. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and support wider financial operations across multiple offices. This is a hands-on role offering variety and responsibility. Key Responsibilities: Processing client and office transactions, including bank transfers and receipts Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations Raising client invoices and managing overdue payment follow-ups Maintaining accurate client and office ledgers Identifying and reporting any potential breaches or irregularities Supporting the month-end and year-end financial processes Preparing VAT returns and submitting them through the appropriate online portals Liaising with fee earners, support staff, auditors, clients, banks, and regulatory bodies Assisting with administrative tasks within the finance team where required About You: The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm and demonstrate a strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules.
