Senior Director, Regional Engineering

Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: You will be a key member responsible for supporting and leading Engineering practices and DC development, assisting in standardizing DC design and construction across the region. As the Senior Director, Regional Engineering, you will work closely with SME teams on the following duties: Lead a team of engineering specialists to execute projects and oversee functions such as engineering studies, site feasibility, and research on new technology and construction methodologies. Engage in green and brownfield projects, including site selection, project team setup, consulting engagement, and overseeing design, tendering, and construction processes. Lead DC development efforts, liaising with management and stakeholders to prepare necessary documentation for business cases and presentations. Shortlist and engage top-tier consultants (Architects, M&E, C&S, Energy, etc.) for design development and tender preparation, including project cost estimates. Drive research and development of new engineering technologies and construction methods to improve energy and water efficiency, build efficiency, operational productivity, and sustainability (reducing PUE, WUE, and carbon emissions). Design, construct, and develop green and brownfield DCs, including land identification, site planning, finalizing designs, evaluating power sources, and understanding customer requirements for timely delivery. Enhance energy, water, and waste efficiency, and promote green power usage in existing and new DCs. Support recruitment of top engineering and project management talents through participation in attraction, shortlisting, and interviews. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, speed, innovation, and excellence, continuously improving the quality of the engineering and DC development organization. Participate in strategic planning with stakeholders such as Product Management, Operations, and Finance to meet business objectives and collaborate across functions. Lead and mentor project managers, engineering managers, and energy managers to cultivate a high-performance team. Perform other duties as assigned to support business growth. Job Skill & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Project Management, Architecture, or related fields. At least 15 years of experience, including 10 years in data center development and engineering. Experience in leading teams and managing people. Strong M&E background with expertise in design requirements, fault analysis, and solving complex engineering problems like cooling and power. Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills in English. Good financial knowledge for project cost control and financial management. J-18808-Ljbffr
