Senior Solution Engineer - MS SQL DBA Exp:8-15yrs Location: Bangalore Np:Immediate-30days Skill requirements Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying and scripting tasks. Proven experience in establishing database standards, best practices, and governance across teams. Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server including database administration, performance tuning, and backup/restore management. Strong expertise in PostgreSQL on both Windows and Linux platforms. Deep experience managing and deploying Azure SQL databases (both IaaS and PaaS). Proficient in PowerShell scripting for task automation, system configuration, and administration. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI for data visualization and reporting is a plus Beneficial: Experience with SaaS is a plus. Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure automation. Background and Experience: SQL Server Administration – Proficiency in MS SQL for database management, queries, backup, and performance tuning. SQL proficiency with Query optimization and performance tuning Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (optional but valuable) Role description As a Senior SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of critical enterprise databases hosted on Microsoft technologies, both on-premises and in Azure cloud environments. Your role is essential in maintaining IT service continuity through effective incidents, change, and problem management processes guided by the ITIL framework. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability SQL Server environments. Ensure database systems are secure, compliant, and resilient against vulnerabilities through proactive monitoring and system hardening. Serve as a senior technical resource for troubleshooting complex issues, guiding root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions. Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to translate business requirements into robust database solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other DBAs and cross-functional teams. Continuously improve automation, performance tuning, and disaster recovery capabilities of the database platforms. Maintain up-to-date documentation and SOPs to support consistent and efficient operational practices.
