Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than 3-5) Maintain the IDMS-DC software system Enables to gain an access to a data base and to communicate with the users of terminals Configuration and operation of the IDMS-DC system Ensure IDMS-DC system program and tables loading Dynamic control of memory Synchronization of program execution; input/output data management; scratch areas and queues management; utility functions control; message switching; and sign on/sign off functions. Methods of programming and operational aspects related to security, reliability and effectiveness of the IDMS-DC system are maintained Knowledge of ADSA Good-to-Have IDMS Central Version (CV) and how it differs from Local mode processing Install/upgrade and apply PTF as may be required Maintain IDMS journal and log procedures, including offloading Maintain IDMS USERMODS Knowledge of IDMS Operations commands Maintain IDMS security/integrate with RACF systems Knowledge of relationship between logical IDMS definitions and physical IDMS objects Knowledge of SMP/E OCF commands expertise Show understanding of secondary dictionaries and their usage Demonstrate participation in at least one IDMS recovery at an offsite location
