Ecosystem and AIoT Testing Engineer

Job Description - We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate TV Test Engineer to join our QA team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality and performance of Smart TV products through comprehensive validation and test execution across hardware, software, UI/UX, and network scenarios. Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests for Smart TV products across various OS platforms (Android TV, Linux, WebOS, etc.). Validate features such as video playback, HDMI/USB/AV inputs, TV tuner, audio output, UI navigation, and OTT applications (YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, etc.). Perform field testing and evaluate user scenarios related to connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet), voice control, and app integrations. Collaborate with development, product, and UX teams to define test cases aligned with product requirements. Analyze logs and use debugging tools to isolate issues and report defects effectively using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Conduct competitive benchmarking against other leading Smart TV models to identify gaps and improvement areas. Validate compliance with regional broadcasting standards, accessibility features, and localization requirements (language, keyboard, voice input). Work with R&D to validate firmware upgrades and perform regression testing post-release. Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, checklists, and test reports. Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. 2–5 years of experience in consumer electronics or Smart TV testing. Hands-on experience with TV features testing, AV formats, and various input/output ports. Familiar with Android TV, Linux-based TV platforms, or proprietary middleware. Ability to handle field testing and coordinate with operators for signal testing and app validation. Localization and user experience validation for multiple regions/languages.
