The Opportunity I’m looking for an experienced and confident Credit Controller to join their vibrant finance team in Central Manchester. The role will suit someone who’s not only comfortable managing accounts and securing payments, but who can also collaborate well across teams and contribute to a supportive, fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of debtor accounts and ensure timely payment Follow up with clients regarding overdue invoices in a professional and persistent manner Deal with payment queries from both private clients and trade customers Make sure all accounts operate within agreed terms Resolve non-payment issues efficiently Make outbound calls to secure payments, while maintaining excellent customer relationships Accurately process payments through the internal system About You My client is looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, stays calm under pressure, and understands that effective credit control is about relationships, not just numbers. Ideal Profile Experience: Previous background in credit control, accounts receivable, or similar finance role Skills: Solid Excel skills and familiarity with finance software Organisation: Able to manage multiple accounts and prioritise effectively Communication: A confident, friendly telephone manner and strong people skills Flexibility: Comfortable adapting in a fast-paced, changing environment Empathy & Resilience: Able to handle tough conversations with professionalism and understanding What’s on Offer This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that truly looks after its people.
