Head of Data Science - Fintech London – Hybrid £120,000 - £140,000 Company: We are working with a fast growing and well funded scale up within the FinTech space and specialise in the car finance industry. With over £240m in funding secured and backing from some of the most respected investors in the space, they’re building tech-driven future with data at the forefront of what they do. They’re now looking for a new Head of Data Science/Technical Lead to lead and evolve their credit and collections analytics strategy as well as boosting customer engagement. Whilst a senior position, this is still a very hands on position and the core focus of the role will be hands on technical work. What you will be doing: Designing and leading the data science strategy across credit scoring, fraud prevention, and collections. Building and optimising data-driven lending models to increase acceptance while maintaining performance. Identifying algorithmic opportunities to mitigate fraud and improve operational efficiency. Driving collections and recovery performance through advanced analytics. Establishing testing frameworks to continuously enhance model effectiveness. What they are Looking For 5 years in an analytically rigorous role within a financial services environment. Proven experience in credit risk, affordability assessment, and fraud analytics. Hands-on knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques to enhance decisioning. Strong grasp of the regulatory landscape, particularly around responsible lending.
