Data Engineer ( Python )

Data Engineer (Python) Location: Belfast (Hybrid - 3 days/week on-site) Type: Full-time | Permanent The Opportunity We're hiring a Data Engineer with strong Python skills to support the evolution of a data platform within a global cybersecurity context. Sitting at the heart of a cross-functional data and customer success team, you'll build robust data pipelines, drive system integration's, and help unlock critical insights across the business. This is a hands-on engineering role where your ability to turn complex data into usable, actionable outcomes will directly impact customer satisfaction, retention, and product evolution. What You'll Be Doing Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration's between platforms (e.g. CRM, customer success, analytics tools). Develop automated data workflows that support dashboards, health scoring, churn models, and other predictive analytics. Own system integration and data ingestion activities across customer and operational datasets. Ensure data reliability, consistency, and availability for reporting and analysis. Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to improve data quality, governance, and hygiene. Support A/B testing frameworks and experimentation infrastructure. Drive cross-functional data initiatives, including AI/ML readiness projects. What You'll Bring A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience. Advanced Python programming skills for data manipulation, automation, and modelling. Strong SQL experience and familiarity with modern data stack tooling. Proficiency with ETL/ELT design, data ingestion, and pipeline optimisation. Experience working with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and large datasets. Comfortable navigating CRM data structures (e.g. Salesforce). Knowledge of machine learning techniques and cloud-based data engineering (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a bonus.
