Category Manager - Waste management

Calvignasco, Italy Risorse Professional , a company specialized in the Search and Selection of Middle and Senior Management profiles, on behalf of a company belonging to an international Group, leader in the environmental and circular economy sector, is looking for a: The candidate will primarily focus on purchasing and managing maintenance of vehicles (trucks/works vehicles) and plants (recycling, biogas, etc.). Main Responsibilities Define procurement strategies for vehicles and both routine and extraordinary maintenance (in collaboration with operational management); Analyze the supplier market and scout for new partners for spare parts, workshops, and maintenance services near sites; Negotiate purchase and maintenance contracts with machinery manufacturers for plants (in collaboration with technical and operational management); Negotiate purchase or leasing contracts and related maintenance for vehicles; Negotiate framework contracts with workshops, dealerships, and parts suppliers; Define SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs to measure supplier performance; Adopt the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to evaluate not only the purchase price but also the total costs throughout the lifecycle of the assets (maintenance, spare parts, operational efficiency, disposal, etc.). Required Skills and Qualifications Solid knowledge of procurement processes and/or category management; Advanced skills in data analysis and use of ERP tools (e.g., Excel, Zucchetti-specific software); Deep understanding of the relevant market; Negotiation skills; Ability to formalize and document processes; Strong internal and relational negotiation skills; Results-oriented attitude; Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks; Ability to manage cross-functional teams; Excellent planning and organizational skills; Education and Experience Degree in Economics or Management Engineering; At least 3-5 years of experience in purchasing roles or category management; Preferably experience in sectors specific to the relevant category.
