CMCC Position cod. 12731 Front-end Designer Deadline: June 12th, 2025 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Communication & Science Outreach office, located in Lecce , is looking for a new position of Frontend Designer, responsible for supporting our group in the design, development, realization and maintenance of web-based products and applications (including websites). To learn more about this opportunity and submit your application, please refer to the following: ROLE The Front-end Designer reports to the Communication & Science Outreach office and is responsible of supporting the communication team in the design, development, realization and maintenance of web-based products and applications (including websites). RESPONSIBILITIES The Front-end Designer will support the Communication & Science Outreach office, with: Disseminating the CMCC’s scientific research and its outcomes; Exploring innovative languages to communicate climate science to a vast and diversified audience; Design and realize innovative data visualization apps in collaboration with the CMCC Scientific Research Divisions. REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 3 years of work experience Frontend Design. Very good knowledge of the English language Design & UX/UI Good proficiency with Figma (design systems, prototyping, components, variants) Solid understanding of UX/UI principles Ability to turn concepts and wireframes into intuitive, responsive interfaces WordPress Good Knowledge of Gutenberg block design and theme building Experience with Elementor Experience with WPBakery Front-End Development Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SASS Proficient in responsive design and mobile-first development Collaboration & Tools Ability to interpret and realize brand identity into web interfaces Experience working in teams with developers and content managers Familiarity with tools like Git (basic), browser dev tools Available to travel in Italy and abroad Attitude to work remotely and availability to take part in meeting in presence and in videoconference Accuracy and good analytical skills Good communication skills NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: Familiarity with CSS animations or lightweight JS libraries (e.g., GSAP, Framer Motion) Experience with WordPress templating (basic PHP, ACF, template hierarchy) Experience with remote collaboration and office tools like Google Workspaces and good attitude in working with teams Ability to work with custom post types, template pages, and theme builders Experience with modular, component-driven web projects Basic understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) Basic knowledge of JavaScript DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally The Frontend Designer will be based in Lecce CMCC office The fixed-term contract and total gross compensation will be based on qualifications and working experience and will remain in effect until the month of December Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract Flexible working time as per internal policies Support during the immigration process, if needed.
